From First Cast to Last Light
Saltwater fly fishing rewards preparation, patience, and being in the right place at the right time.
Each trip begins with the conditions. Captain Maxim considers the tide, wind, weather, water clarity, seasonal fish movement, and your goals before building the day’s plan.
Depending on the season and conditions, target species may include:
Tarpon
Snook
Redfish
Spotted seatrout
Pine Island Sound is known for these inshore species, although fishing opportunities are always influenced by the day’s conditions and fish behavior.
While no guide can promise a particular fish, he can promise preparation, honest communication, focused instruction, and a full effort from the first cast to the final run home.
